That's my kind of humor....
But yep that fish would not have survived having its entire weight supported in such a manner :( :( :( :( :(

Aloha. This GT, Ulua in Hawaiian, was caught from shore, land based, cliff area from the largest of the main Hawaiian Islands, the island of Hawaii. It was caught using the slide bait method. You cast out clawed lead, get the lead stuck in the rocks, and attach your bait to the main line with a pig tail swivel. It is then slid down onto the water where it stops at a stop ring. The "100lb club" is a very exclusive club that a lot of the shore fishermen in Hawaii strive for. BTW............this was his FIRST GT.
Greg Burt:
A great capture by any any method, especially being his 1st GT :)
