Your GT PB's

These threads don't always work as people figure that since there's already a bigger fish posted then they won't post up theirs.  So lets not see it as a who has caught the biggest GT thread but rather somewhere we can post up and showoff our own personal PBs and then come back to and update after another successful search for bigger GTs!

Here's mine - unsure on weight as we didn't measure it.  Estimates welcome (up or down) we pegged it for maybe 35kgs?  It would look bigger if I was a midget as opposed to 6'4" and 110kg  .  Caught on a skipjack 60, Shimano GT special, Stella 10k, 80lb tufline, 130lb galis twisted leader in Central Qld.


So what's your best to date?

Does it count if the fish wasn't taken with popping methods? The attached fish is only a baby at about 16kg, and was taken some years ago ( ) in the Whitsundays. Tackle: Ugly Stik GB 1706, Abu 7000, 10kg platypus pretest, Rapala CD 18. 

PS. I wasn't aware back then that you shouldn't hold these fish vertically, by the tail.

My PB wasn't even photo worthy...about 2kg in an estuary at Weipa, though it went hard on my little baitcaster

But in the new year I will be improving on that and will post up here when I do!

No idea on weight, taped out at 100cm fork...

First one from the trip to Seychelles I've just got back from, no idea of the weight, second formula'd at around 37KG. Still hunting for the 40kg+!!!
