to be honest, that is not necessarily a bad thing. The lure will work fine this way. The floating runboh is a real fair weather friend - that is, it is really only suitable for calm conditions but if you can get it to sink slowly, it works great.
A few years back, the big runboh was my favourite stickbait but I really only liked it with some big Decoy GTs or Gamakatsu Recorders on it as that would cause it to sink slowly. Without this, it needed really calm water otherwise it would just flop around on the surface. Mind you, it was a great stickbait in calm water and was the right price too.
Unfortunately, Smith stopped making them otherwise it'd still be on the highly recommended list. I still have a small number of them but I can't bring myself to use them as I can't replace them.
