(1/1)
Jordan Hack:
Just got some carbontex drag washers for my dogfight and was wondering if I should run them wet or dry?

I've not tried them dry, but they work well with Cal's.
David Ting:
I use carbontex on all my spinning saltiga's and i either use cal's grease or shimano drag grease on them.
I never tried them dry but I have read on other forums that they had problems when running them dry. Apparently the carbontex can get a bit too abrasive and damage the spool and drag plates when they are run dry on the saltiga spinning reels. I did try to use them dry on the Saltiga Z30 without any problems but the drag plates are all stainless steel in the Z30.
Chris Young:
Jack Erskin recommends the use of cals grease with his washers, he told me to "use it very sparingly".
Jordan Hack:
cheers guys, a very light coat of grease it is then
