The Swimbait rods actually might be a good place to look for the overhead set up....
Tackle Tour did a "Swimbait Wars" series where they pitted 15 of the top rodas against each other... the Evergreen Amazon Flip being one of them... here is the review....

Oh, and its Spiral Wrapped!!! 8)
Might be worth having a look at some of the others.... $535USD for the Evergreen.... OUCH!

There you go, some nice pieces on there. I really like the Caprice jigs, they were better for me in Maldives and Sey than the Hookers. Saying that the fishing was dire.. haha
Andre we use swimbaits a lot for pike here. They're great fun you can make them to dance so nicely. Only downside is they're 3-8 oz in weight.. But making them do cool stuff is half the fun and they definately outfish other lures and nail the bigger cunning old fish.. I've got one bait that I can chuck into a hole in the trees and by giving a flick and then slack I can make it go back and forward over the same stump about five times before it leaves the strike zone.. Know what you mean though some of those sticks on bass is overkill, but then its not about the fight, more about getting the strike I guess...
Brandon - Thats what I'm talking about! Will see what I can find in the way of those sticks..
