Jay Burgess:
Trying to imitate a fusilier I see ;D Looks good Stephen, can't wait to see the results.
Angus Hulme:
great stuff Stephen, looks like it should tempt a few GTs. Seen it's action in the water yet?
BTW, what are you using for the clear coat? Also, are you sealing the timber prior to painting? Sorry about all the questions, but as a keen lure maker, I like to know how everyone else is making 'em! ;)
Cheers
Angus
Stephen Polzin:
Gday Angus,
I just used some enamel undercoat, then a couple of coats of paint, some prism tape and stole some glitter nail-polish off the missus. For clear coat I used two part rod finish. Blowing a gale up here at the moment but I snuck down to the Inlet and threw it around for a while. Action looks just like a bought one so I'm pretty confident it will work. Looking forward to some results though!
Brandon Khoo:
Stephen - you won't need to buy any more Carpenters going forward!
Stephen Polzin:
Thanks Brandon, hopefully you're right. I've still got a few but I bought them for around $50 a pop before the exchange rate went bananas. To me they're not worth what it would cost in Aus dollars now.
cheers,
steve
