To cut a long story short we ended up going out with Steve (smiths) aboard his mates boat "Wild Turkey". Headed out to some isolated reef systems to the south east of cairns marina and managed some nice Gt's. I lost 3 very nice fish that steve called for 40kg ??? Actually I never stood a chance I got smoked Literally!

Thanks for a great couple of days Stevo. Hope to see you later in the year for a trip to the ribbons....

I also spend 5 days in Fiji.. Not Gt fishing but plenty of yellowfin and mahi mahi  ;)

We headed out to Mana Passage... Just of castaway island.

Shame the weather didn't come good for you in Cairns Joey.  I can remember thinking it was blowing pretty hard when you were up and those pics prove it.  It's a bit crazy really, 'cause it was flat until you came up, and flat again soon after you left.  Ah well, that's life.  Blowing a gale here now with no end in sight.
