Another nice day on the reef today.  Shame about the moon phase but you can't have everything.

Took a mate Dan out as he hadn't caught GT's on surface lures before.  He's caught plenty on bait and just about everything else that swims but just hadn't had the opportunity.

Anyway things were pretty slow as expected and had to really work for them.  Ended with 4 GT's between us.  Nothing big with size up to maybe 12kg.

Had some good fun on the way home with schools of Longtails and spotty macs which made up for the lack of GT action.

Here's a few pics.

cheers,

steve

G'day Steve, sensational work mate......I know some may say these GTs are not real big, but I'd take 'em any day over chopper tailor and dart, which is about the best I can expect in my usual SE QLD locations.  ::)

Your photography is going to another level as well. Love those underwater shots. Looking at those photos you took, I reckon you might find my latest painting of some interest (it's an underwater GT scene ;)).

Thanks for sharing, you have got me even more fired up to drop in and have a fish up there sometime!

Cheers
Angus

Thanks guys,  camera is my mate's Canon G9 with underwater housing.  Quite an impressive little camera (has now been superceded by the G10).  Might have to get one myself.

cheers,
