thanks Brandon  i am in the process of looking for a new boat and trying to gain as much
   info as possible

they do look pretty smart  not sure how they would go pumping into the chop for 2 hours out to
   the local reefs though

those kneepads would be a godsend fishing up the front of the contender
i still have no hair on top of my knees from the feb trip  :( ;D

    cheers john

Brandon...thanks again for organising a fantastic trip mate, the whole crew was great, I especially enjoyed fishing with George, I don't think I have ever seen anyone fish so hard for so long. Congrats to all who landed great fish in some pretty trying conditions...especially Rob ;)
The Adhek Goby landed a lot of fish early in the week but as the weather closed in a lot more fish were landed on long poppers like Ebipops 140-200 and a new proto I was testing. In the rough water the extra length and ability to hold in the water really made a difference in the hookups .
I hope to make it again next year (try and stop me ;))
For anyone who is contemplating a trip with Nomad....just do it!! , they are the best operation in Australia bar none.

thanks Nathan. On Doggies, I saw only one  - it came out out of the water after my stickbait and missed it completely. Pity as it was a big fish too.
If it swims; I want to catch it!

Dogtooth? Is that unusual Brandon? I didn't think you got them at bugatti?

oh, you will but generally on the outer edge of the reef. They would not be anywhere near as prevalent as say at Jewell Reef but you will find the odd one swimming around
If it swims; I want to catch it!

brandon, great trip report and a very enjoyable week !

it was inspiring to mix with such dedicated GT fisherman. both experienced and novices, like myself.

i learnt alot and most of it on the path of greatest resistance.

the monster GT experience that resulted in a broken rod will be unforgettable !     ;D

Thanks Brandon and everyone on the trip.

It was great trip with great people and I think I was extremely lucky to get some nice fish on my first trip.

Fighting with big one in shallow water was harder than what I thought, particularly with my second big one, I completely lost grip power on my injured left arm after ten minuets and it straightened Jobu, Shout hooks and #10 sprit rings were almost giving up. If fighting time was 5 minutes longer, I could have been in complete "L" shape!!

Besides this, my most enjoyable moment was Paul when he was fighting for whatever the monster he hooked at the back of Odyssey with Brandon's very light Zenaq. Paul went so hard with it and I couldn't see Brandon's face!!

I can't see the picture, Nathan as there is some problem with my profile but I suspect it is a Ripple fisher GT79R.
