there are a few ways to rig Flappers. You could go with just trebles off the rear or you could rig them the way which Eric does which is with one assist off the towing point and one off the rear. I use the the big Shout assist hooks for this.
If it swims; I want to catch it!

Just come back from week 4 at Bugatti (last week for crew).
Great weeks fishing - almost exclusively GT's - reef fish (coral trout and red bass very scarce). Fish up to 40 plus Kg. Mostly caught on poppers - stick baits very ineffectual. Most successful popper was Nomad Cubera 125 or 150 gram - maybe because that was what most of us were using.
best day i had was out the Contender with Damon - 22 GT's between the 3 of us). Got 9 personally and was pretty sore afterwards as caught 8 of them after lunch.
Very good conditions - middle two days very hot and still and must have been difficult for guides to navigate the lagoon as the water and horizon seemed to merge into one.
Found the new dories fine to fish out of although the cage gives you a bit of a sense of security.
Usual amazing sites in the lagoon - whales and heaps of turtles. Usual top class service from Nomad.

Great news Graham,

I'm going to be there next week with a colleague of mine whose name is also Andy, we'll be starting in Bugatti and finishing the week hopefully getting worked by the 'Marion brutes'.

Is anybody else here going to be on this trip? if so look forward to wetting a line together.

Cheers
Andy
