Two sticks with some looped canvas, probably not because I can make that at home.  However if it was competitively priced, easy to use, easy to store, easy to keep in good condition and with features that I can't easily make or get my hands on myself then yes.

(thought your GT product thread was going in this direction Luke  ;) :D)

Rather than sit on my hands - I figured there are so many opportunities to sniper out there. Plenty of room for innovation and improvements in GTpopping - hopefully I can help  ;D

May be worth looking at european carp or catfish slings - big enough and strong enough to handle a GT and the fishcare aspect is catered for ...

http://www.etpredatortackle.co.uk/search_results.asp?section=17285 as an example ...

I'd buy one if it was made, need one for nile perch up to 125Kg so might need to be custom made.

Want to have a diver's zip at each end so you can swim the fish in and drain holes at the bottom so you can lift it out of the water and only weigh the fish and the sling.

Definately needs poles at the top to avoid bending the fish as you hang it up to be weighed though.

Any idea what these should be made of? Need to be airline baggage friendly!

Just had a sling made up for me by my local marine trimmer , it cost me $20.00 and it is lightweight and would easily weigh fish to 50kg

Steve,

Did you get to fish Kurumba as planned. If so how did it end up.
