Getting GT fit
May 15, 2009, 01:02:02 PM
Righto, who has a training program they do in prep for the big GT expeds.
If your planning a PE12 popping trip or the like what do you do to prepare yourself?

interested to find out who prepares and who doesn't

i try pop as often as i can over here in the west which i think will help, but with a New Cal trip planned for Jan i think its time i pulled the finger out and got GT fit, so I'm ready for the 60kg fish that may swim past

cheers

Brad, just for you -
Tip 1: Shoulder presses for casting, reverse-sit ups for fighting endurance, and alot, alot of deadlifts to be able to take punishing drag. Cardio helps.

Tip 2: Stop casting wussy GT2s and start flinging G-cups and stick with it for a whole day.  ;D
