I have a Saltiga 80tn for this type of work.

I love the rod.......Its easily available too unlike alot of other popping rods.

Slightly dearer than the price range you mention but worth it

they're actually a very good rod. They're not as nice or as light as some of the really premium Japanese brands but boy, they're tough

these rods are pretty damn strong, Nate. I think it would be fine for anything up to about 80g with about 60g probably being ideal. You can manage heavier weights - you just got to lob them rather than cast them

yeh thats what i was thinking, i will be using a fair few dumbell pop 150's and some halco roostas all with upgraded hardware. I am now looking to get some cuberas and dogtooths or uluas and probably looking around the 80-100 size in the cuberas but not sure bout the dogtooths or uluas as im not sure whether the the t curve is really capable of stickbaiting too, what do you think?

Thanks
Nathan

Nathan, the T-Curve in that weight will be fine for stickbaits. In that weight class, I'd suggest you look at the Gunz Tailwalk in the 160 and 180 size.  The Tailwalk is really good and is quite reasonably priced in comparison to others in the market.
