steve sims:
I've just returned from a trip to New Cal. We fished two areas one named Ouano and the other Nekweta.
All the fishing was done inside the lagoon due to big swells outside. Our trip was supposed to be with LPB but a last minute cancellation from one of my mates saw the trip itinerary changed somewhat, and me going by myself . Thanks to some quick reshuffling by David Noble at Oceanblue, we fished with another operator on a smaller 7 meter centre console.
The fishing was eye-opening  with GT's to 40kg, Trout to 15kg, Red Bass to 9kg and various other reef species thrown into the mix. All in all, I wouldn't hesitate in using this  operator again.
Thanks to forum members for advice prior to my trip, Aaron from Fishhead for the Fokeeto, some great poppers and extremely prompt delivery to Perth,  and to the two guys I teamed up with, Scotty and Colin from Melbourne for making it a great time!! Looking forward to getting another trip happening!!
Steve.

Warwick Joyce:
Nice work there Steve ;)

Shame you didnt get out due to the swell, i bet there were some monsters on the reef edges!

Nathan Cefai:
Great work mate,water looks amazing!!
Any bust offs ?

Sam Conacher:
awesome,     I will hopefully be there in a few month's time.

steve sims:
Warwick, there seems to be monster fish all over the place there, even inside the lagoon, we probably had a chance on at least one 40kg +
GT everyday.
Nathan, bust off's and pulled hooks were pretty much the mainstay of my trip, but I was fortunate not to lose too many lures. Fishing in only 2 metres of water calls for some pretty good boat handling and bucketloads of good fortune and then it might result in a landed fish!! Makes for some pretty good entertainment though!!

Steve.
