Bugatti - Drive Out Special (Take 2)
Warwick Joyce:
Hi Jay, Not sure about the difference in the drive out vs fly out. We pretty much fished for 5 days, the first started about 1.5hrs late and the last day finished 1hr early. This was for the crew to unpack and pack up.
I think you get 6 days fishing with the fly out?? and your baggage weight is limited.
The drive out is limited to a few destinations as well.
I would definitly do it again thats for sure.

Was the trip out enjoyable or long?

Tara (the hostess) made it enjoyable feeding us all drinks on the journey :)
I think we steamed for around 10hrs on the way out, it was quite good because of the weather. The way back was a bit more rough, near mackay it was a bit over 25 knots and a bit of swell. I thought i was going to be airborne off my bunk at about 2am :D
All in all it was fine driving in and out.

As opposed to me who had a few extra rums and thought the trip back in was really pretty smooth (fast asleep) :D
Couldn't fault the drive out, we did jag some decent weather though. The fishing time really wasn't impeded and it was a good chance to get to meet everyone, I enjoyed it. Like any fishing it's fairly weather dependant, having to drive out just makes it a little more so - i'd do it again.

Yeah that's true Angus, they are perishable items though. Plus I think it was the Spaniards that inflicted a lot of the damage. The big gash in my ebipop was caused by a massive couta - it is nearly bitten clean in half!
