Popping from Stradbroke to Fraser

Good day to all memebers,
I have recently moved to Brisbane and seek some local knowledge to where to cast poppers around the area where you might run into some GT's. Also what time of the year you are likely to encounter them. Would also like to join in if some of the locals are planning a trip locally. Any info will help.

mate I'm from brissie too and havnt had a chance to do some popping around here but will get to it soon after the boat gets back from the whitsundays. Speaking to some friends and they have accounted for some 30-40kg GT's off point look out near all the bommies and reef, using big poppers and a 40kg gt taken while trolling a big livie for a spanyards. so they are around!

Look out for a post by Peter Lowe in the next couple days.....he cracked a great one about an hour and a bit from the CBD yesterday on a popper.
