Yeah buddy, thats the place... I have no real knowledge of exactly where it is, but I know its in that part of the world.... Cliffs, lots of Sharks and insane land based fishery...

His main targets were Mackeral, Spaniards I guess you guys call them, Longtail Tuna and they got a couple solid Prodigal Son's/Cobia as well as the odd YFT.... hooked up a few GT's but got SMOKED on the gear they had...

Seems an amazing part of the world!

Sure is  ;D That landbased stuff looks a bit too insane for me  :o But I'd love to explore that coastline in a boat when the swells not crazy huge.

Hi Mat

A good rod to consider would be the Zenaq Defi Muthos 100HHH (GT Spec). This is a 10 foot rod designed specifically for landbased GT popping. It suits PE4-8 and lures in the 110-210g range. It is light but very powerful and ideal for big GT's, Spaniards and so on. If this seems too much gun for what you are after, then Zenaq do a range of rods in lighter specifications in the 10 and 11 foot lengths, several of which we have in stock at the moment (including the GT rod). The Saltigas are quite nice too with plenty of versatility in the boat, but for serious landbased work, nothing beats a bit of length in my opinion.

Cheers
