Vanuatu???
Cameron Trowbridge:
Hey Guys,
has anyone fished in Vanuatu? I might have a job there soon and am wondering what options there are there and if anyone has advise?
Sam Conacher:
hi Cameron.
there is and or are more then likely many other member's on this forum who may be perhap's of better help to you then my-self.
with-out being rude, you said - if anyone has advice?
I may be of some help, what advice are you after?
Stan Konstantaras:
Hi Cameron,
Where abouts will you be living?
Sea mounts and coral reefs and the further north you go the better it gets.
I did 10 days north of Santo in the Banks Islands and doggies and GTs were prevalent. Sails, wahoo and 'fin also live around these sea mounts and reef edges.
Also went from Villa to Santo chasing Blues, but encountered same species all the way up.
Give Dave from Ocean Blue a call, these guys have been doing Vanuatu for years.
Cheers
stan
Cameron Trowbridge:
Thanks Stan. Port Vila is where the job is. What did you think of the place apart from fishing? Also are there plenty of Landbased options?
Stan Konstantaras:
Hi Cameron,
The people are great, Port Villa is pretty hectic but I imagine once you get your bearings and a car some LB ops will present themselves.
Never did an LB fishing over there, but dont see why a few poppers off the stones would not raise a GT around Port Villa.
It will take some getting used to.
Go over and get involved with the local game club and knock a few of their records off.

Getting involved with the locals is the best way and fishing clubs are a great way to start.
Good luck.
Cheers
