65lb Tufline on a Dog Fight
Jarrad Heritage:
Hi all,
Does anyone know how much 65lb Tufline I will get on a Dogfight Spool?
Or has anyone spooled up with line this before for jigging? Want to fit as much on as possible.

John Adams Smith:
I don't know about 65lb Tufline on a dog Fight, but I did try to spool 80lb on my 16000FA spool and it barely got 300 yards on there. If you're going for capacity I would suggest checking out other brands of braid with a smaller diameter. I currently run 80lb saltiga boat braid for my GT popper set-up and am planning on running 70lb saltiga boat braid on my 20k stella for my jigging set-up.
Jarrad Heritage:
I cant find any diameters on Saltiga Boat Braid, do you know what in comes in at.
Or if anyone else can recommend a fine diameter braid in the 60-70lb line class,
Its just I'll be fishing 300m+
Jarrad Heritage:
Or 80lb if I can keep the diameter down.

Sam Beeby:
The jigs direct guys in NZ told me that the AG taiwan jiggers use whiplash on their reels because it is pretty much the thinnest possible diametre to breaking strain out there, so they can pack bigger than usual line capacity onto relatively small reels. I have the diameters somewhere but its pretty easy to find, but its something ridiculous like whiplash 80lb being smaller than saltiga 40lb braid. maybe try it!
