Trebles vs singles
Andrew Poulos:
Bernie, how much do you pay for the owner Jobus...? I saw them this arvo for a pack @ $27....thats steep!
The Sj51s are $4.95 US off an ebay store so at least they are reasonable.
Brandon Khoo:
mate, the Jobus are blooody expensive - unfortunately - but they are also about the strongest hook I've come upon. I have been tempted to buy a bulk pack from the USA. That is 100 hooks in a box but i think I need to convince myself that is what i using going forward. They're mich cheaper in Sinagpore too. A few places here have them at more reasonable prices. If you shop around, you should be able to get them around $21 - 22 a pack. The jobu is about the most expensive option out there.
Some of the guys are using jigging hoooks and rigging them with assists like the Sj-51 which is an excellent hook too. I have used the opposite eye S-77s which do the job but are not in the same class as the Jobus. I haven't had one go on me BUT there is no doubt that one of these will go before a Jobu.
