Makes you wonder why they don't just ship them with decent drags themselves? I hear even daiwa is doing that now with the new saltigas.

They will in future. We have advised of a couple of upgrades we want to make them even better.
Price will also slightly increase though as well but only a little.

Upgrade was done here in Australia to the HT100 drag material.

Jigging master PE6 which is same size has 14kg max with freespool cost $699.00

It's taken daiwa way to long for that to happen! I personally drags should be checked before every use especially if it's a new reel. Just because you pay good money for a reel we should all not assume that it has been done right.
