Glanville:- The weather deteriorated during the evening and we woke up to an icy chill in the air. We went in search of some fish in the shallows in an attempt to let the guys arms recover from the wahoo madness and also to catch a variety of species, fishing proved very difficult and the fish just seem to have completely shut down and the 25-30knots of icy wind didn't make life any more enjoyable we managed to get a couple of bluefin trevally a good size redbass a jobfish and 2 gts and in the mix of things I hooked possibly the biggest coral trout I have ever seen, it would have been 15-20kg an absolute horse of a creature...we anchored up and did some chumming only to bring a few sharks to the back of the boat before we decided to call it quits and have a couple cups of tea to warm the bones up.
Nick: It was a really slow day today and trying to make the most of it bearing the conditions which were a complete turn around from yesterday. It seems that the fish had gone off the chew all round today making things a little tough for everyone but none the less we still managed to boat a small doggie, blue fin travelly, tuskies and a couple job fish. Not a great day on the fishing front but we still have more days to come
