Had a Grrreaat day with Captain Josh of Outermost Angling we went 4 for 6
Had the priviledge to fish alongside Hot's field tester Chris Teng and Ilya our Brooklyn buddy.
Headed out of Pamet at 6am and were at the grounds by 7, Josh marked fish on the way out and dropped a jig and it immediately got annihilate and was stripped off all his lines on his Saragosa in less then 30 seconds!!!
GIANT we all thought to ourselves, I was surprise by the sheer speed and power of the mighty blue fin tuna, it was incredible...
Next up, "birds" near the horizon!! Josh pushed his new 26ft Regulator inboard and positioned us, all 3 of us casted and Ilya almost immediately hooked up, 10mins through Ilya's fight I hooked up brought it alongside the boat in under 10mins for a quick measure, 63inch, and the fish was released back to where it belongs Ilya who was struggling all this while brought in the fish 15mins later and the fish was also not a keeper
Later in the morning when the surface bite died down, Ilya got hooked up when he dropped a jig which "again" kicked his @$$ when he finally brought it up, it was 2 inches short of a market fish, alright buddy, i give you credit for it couple of minutes later Chris too dropped his jig and was rewarded with a 64 inch fish which took him less then 15mins. Josh hooked up again right after Chris and handed the rod to me, sadly after 15mins of tug of war...the fish chewed through the 80lb leader and i was sent flying and sat on the engine box...Later in the afternoon Chris was nicknamed "COD KILLER" as he was bringing up cod after cod which were all released Captain Josh, Chris and Ilya I had so much fun fishing with you guys and can't wait for the next! Thank you!
