Scott, look no further than NT Power Swivels. Never had one of these fail. For popping I use size 3/.0 and 4/0.

Not sure if any of the forum sponsors stock these (?), so here is a link:

NT are the strongest swivels available, I use size 5/0 rated at 540kg in all Full Scale's. When rigging I use size 2/0 between leader and split ring, I doubt you will ever have one fail  ;)

5/0's.... ;D....

I use the 1/0's and 2/0's and have never had any dramas.
The are an excelent swivel....certainly one of the best on the market.

Reading this thread, I am beginning to feel a bit OTT by using NT 3/0 and 4/0 for popping (between leader and split ring).  Do folks think they are too big?

Between leader and split ring NT 2/0 is more than adequate because in this position it is only straight pull. I also like to keep the weight of this hardware to a minimum where possible to get a better action from the lures.
I use 5/0 in the belly of the lures because they can get sideways pressure and I have seen quite a few lesser quality swivels damaged and broken.......never had it happen to NT 5/0

Anyone know where I can get a hold of these NT swivels in Australia ?
I did a google search and nomad shop is the only source I can find, but they seem to be sold out ?
