Ripple Fisher GT79R - weight and handle lenght?

(1/5) > >>

Dan Wulf:
I'm considering buying a GT79R. I may have overlooked it, but I cannot find any information regarding the weight of this rod. Does RF keep the weight as a secret? If no specs are available maybe I could ask one of the happy GT79R owners to place their rod on a scale....

I did find information on the total length of the handle (810mm/32" from butt to edge of upper grip). However, I would like to know the distance from the reel chair to the butt cap.

Thanks in advance for your kind replies!

Best wishes,
Dan

Jim Isherwood:

Tony Fowler:
Gday Dan

I just purchased a couple of Ripplefishers from Fishhead just before Christmas. Duncan and Tom are great guys to deal with.

One of the rods was a GT79R. The weight is 390grams.
Its is also an update model, sounds like a few things are slightly different. including a 'grippier' upper grip and the guide frame are silver not black.

Duncan maybe able to inform you more with the technical aspects.

Regards Tony

Brandon Khoo:
the foregrip is just a new design and the guides are now E-MNSGs

Dan Wulf:
Thanks for all your information! I didn't know about the new version, so this has been very helpful. I live in Denmark and since the GT79R does not seem to be available in Europe I will probably order it from US.
