Thanks guys

Read the discussion from the link. Yes, it has happened to me. Got away most time, but was an issue on my last trip. Guess you guys right, why take the risk!!
Make it hard when the airline lost your luggage 2 years in  a roll.

But what about your lures ( without hooks offcourse )?
Especially the rare ones. I know a friend use to carry them as hand luggage without problems.
But does that come down to luck.!!!!!!!!!Mmmmh

Ricky, it would probably be tidier if this discussion too place in the existing thread rather than start all over again.

How could hookless lures possibly be regarded as prohibited as hand luggage?

Ricky, I find problems arise when you are changing aircraft and get luggage checked through. For single flights, losing luggage is a rare occurrence. I always try to pick my luggage up and recheck it if possible.

Thanks guys
