Nomad Sportfishing - Marion Reef 2008
March 22, 2007, 08:37:35 PM
All right guys - who wants to go on a Nomad Charter?!

I don't think in this forum that Nomad need any introduction. I have just booked in well ahead for next year for Marion Reef for May 17 - 23 with a couple of friends from Singapore. If anyone is interested, there are still some places available for that period.

Why have I booked so far ahead? Well, I'm already booked in for a couple more trips with them this year but in trying to organise with friends, especially guys from overseas, we've had to plan well ahead to ensure we can all be free.

This long lead time should give you time to save or to convince the missus or both!  ;D I don't have that problem but nearly all the rest of my friends do so I am congnisant of the need to get permission.
If it swims; I want to catch it!

Quick Questions.
1: Where do I find info on the Marion Reef trip, you or Nomad.com?
2: How much do I have to sell my kids for?

Bernie, the Marion promo DVD is a good look even with a lot of jigging, the 'Spanish Fly' episode, filmed on the maiden Marion Reef trip, I saw on ESPN [FOX] last year. An old game fishing mate of mine Randell Bryant hosted Jose for the trip. Damon hadn't met Randell before even though Damon fished the 1990's comps on his boat 'Reel Sport' and Randle and I fished on 'Sea Legend'.
He also hosted [ot of USA] Jose's Northen Territory or WA episodes on a mother ship.
Even though the trip is a year away I'll slowly get some gear together as you will find out on the forum., lots of questions to be asked from a popping novice. ??? ??? ::)
 Catch you later

PS: Shell we address you as Bernie or Brandon?  ;D

there is a lot of jigging available out at Marion and that is why the Coral Sea trips are good. You can get a bit of everything and the variety of fish is enormous. The jigging will generally be a lot shallower than what you are used to for seriolas. On popping, no worries - you're certainly in the right place to ask those questions!!   ;D

Brandon or Bernie......most of my friends still call me Bernie but I'm not particular   :D
