that is soooo awesome!
what line, leader, and jigs were you using?

Hi Marc,
Our jigging line consisted of Sunline PE Jigger and i personally used the Sunline System Shock Leader FC100 in a 100lb,
The jig that was accounted to score is the Shout, CB One, Deep liner.

thanks for the info Sami!
may I ask you which model from Shout you were using?
here in the med. sea I have had best results with the Shout Shab Shab.
Just want to know if the tunas on your side of the pond like the same stuff like over here

What an amazing fishery...have to make it there some day. Do the fish turn up reliably at certain times of the year or is it a case of drop everything and go when they decide to turn up? Asking so I can plan a trip ahead. :D

Sami, how do you rate the MC Works Rods for fish in the monster class against the Valley Hill Exploders? Need a heavy rod and trying to decide between the two at the moment.

Hi Thien,
The winter Bluefin tuna bite start early Feb and last till the second week of April, it is pretty much consisted during that period,
March is a prime time,
as for the rods , both the Valley Hill and MC-Works are great rods but if you are looking for the ultimate all time heavy tackle i suggest you the MC-Works southern deep ultimate monster SD538XX, a minimum of 300g jig is required in order to have the right presentation for the SD538XX.
