New Stella 10000/20000?

The 20000FA drag is rated at 58lb= 26kg which is only 1kg more than Micks 'stated' rating of the new SW, well beyond my 15kg any way, I'm with you Jon. ;)

PS: How the hell do they test that anyway??

the way I read things,  and I may be mistaken, is that reels like these have the drags tested by a machine, and the resultant drag ratings disclosed in marketing.........20kg.....25kg..whatever.  This not to say that we (mug holding it!) should use or can handle that rating but really goes to highlight that if the capacity is 25kg then the settings we would use, 12-16kg, for example, are well within the tollerances of the reel........that's the way I read it anyway.......

if Shimano can produce a 610g 10000..........then I'm sold already.........

does anyone know whether the 10000, 18000 and 20000 are the same size with the only difference being the gear ratio and spool or will this change with the new model?
