New Stella 10000/20000?
Hon-Su Chin:
about time they make it official
Sachin Chaudhry:
While on this topic has anyone come across any more "Saltiga" problems. You know the early ones with broken reel stems and bail arms coming off the rotor. If not than I suppose Shimano has its work cut out with the growing number of Saltigas (especially Dogfights) I tend to see in the popper fishing articles in magazines and videos. I have 3 Stellas myself (SW) but just find the Saltiga to feel that much more solid.
Hon-Su Chin:
They are more solid, I have 3 myself but it just seems they have the upper hand with the better drag system.

Kasey Leong:
I'm sorry, I couldnt help but laugh at luke's (deleted) comments about a more 'solid feeling' saltiga being a better mallet too ;D ;D ;D
I know I'd prefer the (old) Stella's on any trip, but not too extended... and its always safer to pack a spare one too...
Maybe reasons why the DF is getting popular includes to its huge line cap, and (in most parts of the world) cheaper price than a stella?
Anyway the new stella addresses this with the whopping 18000HG from what I can see, which has line cap close to the (old) 20000. Yay for those PE10 and above lines!
But with the (new) 10000 at 625 grams, with a higher line cap than the (old) 10000... I'ma gonna be soo broke...
Will be good to see who would rather the 18000 over the 10000 and vice versa. 300g difference is 3kg in 10 casts, or 30kg in 100 casts!!! (easily done in 1 day)
exciting stuff
