Caranx Kaibatsu - anyone interested?

Has anyone tried or seen these rods yet? They've brought them out in Europe (where they'll cost twice as much!!!) but I quite like the idea of the light one, maybe for an 8000 size reel... Just interested in opinions...

Hi guys

I have got the deep monster and it is a great rod.
I cast lures of about 125-200g with it.
It is very light for its strengt, lighter than the saltiga popper rods

I have both the Pencil Intrument and Long Cast, both are pretty good value rods despite not Japanese designed or made rod. They're in similar league at the JigWrex. I'm running my EXP6500 (soon to be Stella 20k) on the LC and Stella 8k on the PI. Will trying for YFT this summer with the PI. Cant wait for summer to come around.

Hon Su, I have the Deep Monster and it appears to be a pretty good piece of kit. Lots of grunt and definitely a lot more power than the Saltiga SG GT86 which I think a lot of. My question is what sort of lure weights would you use on a long cast and how does the pwer level compare to a GT86? Trying to decide to get this or shell out the readies for a Carpenter Long Reef 88.
