Hi Dave,

The Synit Seriola is a very versatile jig stick. It handles a wide variety of jig weights and is super comfortable under load once hooked up. As you can see Anesh has put it through its paces in NZ and WA and passed with flying colours. It is also a very popular Tuna jigging rod because of the unique combination of downlow power, with the tip to work lighter jigs around the 200g mark that the Deepshot 450 would struggle with.

The Seriola has a faster tip section which enables it to work these lighter jigs but at the same time not feel overloaded once you throw a 400g jig on the end. This all comes down to the very high quality carbon used in the blank and also how it is laid up on the mandrel to give the rod these unique characteristics.

For a comparison,

Deepshot Seriola | Best Jig Weight 180-450g | Max 550g

Deepshot 450 | Best Jig Weight 300-550g | Max 650g

If you have any more questions please don't hesitate to ask,

Cheers
Tom

Thanks for your replies guys, looks like a great rod! It's broad jig range
caught my eye as a great allrounder.

Tom, will be in touch.
