YGK Ultra Castman Supplier

Hi All

As a newcomer to this world, I would like some advice on reputable suppliers of YGK Ultra Castman online.

My intended use is to go on a Stella 8000 with Salitiga Dorado 80TN. Currently have Ultra Castman PE4 on the spool, and was thinking of putting PE5 on. Is this going to be too heavy for this rod/reel?

I also liked the stuff so much that I was thinking of putting some PE2 on my Chronarchs, which I use predominately for casting hardbodies at Barra. Can anyone see a problem using this line for that kind of fishing?

I'm Brisbane based, but happy to purchase worldwide with the AUD so strong at the moment.

Contact Fish Head they are a site sponsor and handy to Brisbane, better of buying local and getting the boys in store to spool it up for you, if they dont have it they will have something as good or better.

I know of Fishead but am yet to acquaint myself with their store. I'm scared of walking in there with my Credit Card in hand!!!

I don't think they carry Castman, although I know they stock Varivas. As a beginner I am trying to be as budget conscious as possible and the Varivas is probably a bit out of my range at the level of fishing that I can afford the time to do.

I do appreciate your feedback though and agree that buying locally is my preferred option when necessary. I will certainly keep them in mind if I need them.

Yesterday went to fish head and spooled my
5000sw Stella with the new saltiga hyper Pe+evo silicone.
Pe 3= 50lb. Is a 8 ply , super round and smooth!
$165 for 300m spool.
The boys spooled the reel for me and they did an excellent job!

Thank you for the kind words, they are much appreciated.

Yes the new Saltiga Hyper PE is very very nice, we have been using this line for some time now and have been very impressed with its performance both in casting and jigging situations.
Apart from that there are options in Varivas that we stock and possibly Toray, though we would need to order in the Toray.
