May 12, 2011, 09:06:25 PM
I have the Smith AMJ 52EX paired with a Stella SW 18000.

I looking for a lighter Smith Jigging Rod for my Stella SW 10000.

Hey Bro,

I've got a Smith WGJ S56SLH which you can have for a bargain... at least you won't need to pay duty or shipping!

Awesome stick, supreme amounts of power for such a light rod, but light enough to make it awesome fun to fish... perfect match for an SW8000/SW10000. Rated PE 3 to PE 5, but in all honesty could fish PE 6 with no problems at all... Jigs 180 to 350 gram jigs sweetly... Super light rod at only 280 grams...

Its in 8/10 condition, mainly just a few scuffs in the grip...

Let me know, you got my digits..

Wow, jigging with an SW 18000......your keen!

The 10000 balances quite well on the 52EX if the jig weight's suit your purpose, and the rod loads up nicely even with PE6.

The next one down in the smith AMJ range in the 54H (I've got one of these as well), but it is quite a step down in jig weights (rated to 280 grams).  Whilst it balances well with an 8000 or 4500/5000 Salty....... it is a much lighter rod in action, and can be well and truly stretched to its limit on PE4, If you want to red line  PE5 or PE6 - in all honesty I would look elsewhere.

Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful rod but best matched with PE4 and less sizable quarry.  If this is what you are looking for then go for it - you wont be disappointed.

I've got the amj 56M jigs 230grams but bizarely ive jigged 400 gram zero droppers ok some of my mate say im overloading it but ive kings to 13kg doing it, I love this rod with my saltiga 4500Z with PE 5 great combo but I'm sure an 8000 stella would suit it fine also.
