I'll get around to adding some story and more pics later this week. Just a tease for now.
Cheers

Hey guys,
Sorry it has taken me a while.
Spent a week at Elusive reef earlier this month. It was originally supposed to be an Elusive/Frederick trip but strong winds and big swell meant we didnt make the journey out to Wahoo country. Fishing was tough at times but we all caught plenty and saw plenty of awesome things. there were some nice fish caught during the week. A few over 40kg by the other boys and quite a few in the 30's.
My dad joined me on this trip for his first experience of GT Popping. He quickly decided PE8 was too much work so he took control of my Zenaq Twitch FC78-4 and 5000H Saltiga and used that for the majority of his trip. To his credit he landed GT's up to 38kg on the outfit and never got busted off once. He fished two lures the whole week A Patriot Design BabyPat 180-50 and a BabyPat 200-65. These worked EXTREMELY well and i cannot wait to throw them at a few kingies. Easy to swim, look great, superb action and whatever new paint he is using seems to be extremely durable.
Stickbaits were definetly the go to lure of the trip with the FCL Labo CSP S220S in any colour proving again that its one of the best stickbaits on the market. Two trips in a row it has caught by far the most fish. I noticed this trip again the same as last that a relatively quick retrieve with the stickbaits worked best.
Gear used was;
Saltiga 6500 Dogfight
Saltiga 6500 Maverick
Saltiga 5000H
Zenaq Twitch FC78-4
Zenaq Fokeeto 80-10
FCL Labo 81 Extreme M
Varivas Avani PE#10
Sunline Monster Battle PE#8
Shogun Extreme Hooks

Nice photo's Tom, shame you didn't get out to Frederick, the weather does look a little nasty in some of those photo's. Great fish mate
