Damon:- Another windy start to the day with bucket loads of rain. We were not deterred. Heading east saw us have a very slow start to the day, with only a very small GT landed by 10am. However, the rest of the day just got better and better. The next 2 hrs before lunch resulted in steady action, with 4 GTs released and many more lost. We had some awesome mackerel attacks. We caught a tagged fish that we must have tagged about 2 yeasr ago and I can't wait to see the tag number details on that one. After lunch it was mayhem and chaos. Triple hookups and double hookups were common place, as fish averaging 25-30kg went ballistic all over our lures for hours. The average size of the fish all day was amazing, with nothing under 24kg after the first fish, and the best fish around 32kgs. We lost a couple of monster fish, AGAIN!!! Need some luck. Dominique had a 30kg GT demolish his stickbait boatside while slapping it in the water to entice a bite from a follower, and that was amazing! We ended the day with 16 GTs released, many more lost and lots of fun had by all.
