Stickbaits-Sink Rate
Kurt Wilson:
Hi Guys
Heading up to the Rowley shoals in a few weeks for pretty much our first popping adventure, trying to get the lowdown on as much as possible before we leave.
Ive been rigging up a few blackjack (Uluas, wahoos, bobaras) stickbaits with various hook sizes and swivel/split ring combinations and found that most of them sink, some alot quicker than others.
Should they be sinking at all? if so how fast?
Feel free to share any hook combinations aswell.
Cheers
Kurt Wilson
Brandon Khoo:
of the ones you named, only the Bobara should sink
Andrew Poulos:
Bobaras should sink - except mine dont >:(
Brandon Khoo:
Great - so your Bobaras float and Kurt's wahoos and uluas sink!! :o
Chris Webster:
Kurt if your floating stickbaits are sinking it sounds like your terminals (i.e. hooks and split rings) are too heavy.
If you respond with specific details of your lures im sure you will receive the answers you are looking for.
Cheers,
Chris
