The Ripple Final Spirit 78XH will handle the I Cup as will the Carpenter SP78UHL. They're both designed for giant cup mouthed poppers. I would suggest to you that Ripple has a slightly more progressive action than the UHL which has a fast action. They're both brutes on your back. I will be happy to find one in new/as new conditions...
I know what you said refferring to stiffness of similar rods... Pe 12 rods will be my rods for short session, when an I cup or similar monster poppers are requests. My point of view is that sach rods are for monster popper, not necessary for monster fish... I haven't plan to find monster GT in shall water, not now... For this target I need 2 or 3 years of gym... But whit a bit of tecnich, I think to be able to cast and work 250 gr poppers for 1 or 2 h...
