Jewell Reef Ultimate Adventure 14 Nov 2011

Glanville:- we moved anchorages and the plan was to fish our way down sea and slay the GTs, the morning started off well and we had a few fish in the boat quick smart, the fish seemed to develop a little lock jaw and whilst we were seeing fish on just about every cast they never seemed to have a full crack at the lures and we were really battling to get the hooks to stick. The guys were a little tired so we chucked some lures out and did some trolling over lunch to kill time and the afternoon was game on, we stumbled into the mobile bommies and it was on for young and old after that, I think we ended the day off with near 30 fish and 3 over 30kg including a fish that was just short of 40kg, an awesome day and I don't think the boys know what they in for tomorrow!!!! Life is going to be hard and their arms are going to be hurting, we may just see grown men cry....

Clint: Another great day on the water. From the start of the morning till the end of the day the fishing action did not stop every ledge we hit or bombie there was plenty of fish ready to play. We landed some huge red bass, Spanish, blue fin trevally and a total of 16 GTs which is a great day on the water. Exhausted, the two clients Les and Chris were over the moon and tired by the end of the day a trip back to the mothership for a cold beer was all that was on their minds.

John- This morning we woke to glamour conditions for another wonderful expedition around the outer reefs, fortunately today we had onboard a group of guys looking for a bit of everything. First we trolled the passages in hunt for a doggie but had no snaps so we dropped some plastics around for a few trout with one nice one extracted around the 7kg mark and a few unstoppable critters that found there freedom. After this the flats were a little quiet so we moved to another small reef where I had caught some fish on the flats in the past and we finally found some action from some long nose and spangled emperor and a nice red bass, next up were the GTs and we fished for an hour around some isolated bombies and picked up 5 fish to 22kg so the boys were stoked to call it a day and run back to the mothership for a cold bevy and to tell a few stories, happy days!!!
