Sunline Pe lines
Michael Evans:
Have not used the monster battle for gt fishing, but fished a lot of sub PE 4 braids over the last five years (bream to kings) and now exclusively use sunline on all reels from 4 - 40 lb (castaway for >20lb).Top line, good value, can't speak highly enough of it! I am similarly interested in its applicability at higher ratings!
Antonino Augugliaro:
I fish whit 15 and 20 LB for seabass, bluefish, dorado and other similar when I came back toItaly... and I found Super PE Sunline have one of the best price/quality ratio for this dimension. I try also PE6 (60 lbs) and I'm quite happy about it at now (I didn't fish a lot with 60 lbs, so is no possible to said more).
Brandon Khoo:
It is more a case that those of us who started early in this sport used what we could get out hands on and people have followed suit locally. The premium line we could access was Varivas GT and accordingly, over the years, it has become regarded as THE line outside of Japan. I do note though that within Japan, there seems to be a preference for YGK Ultra Castman.
The price of Varivas locally used to be nothing short of daylight robbery but it has moderated significantly over the past 18 months to something more realistic. if EJ Todd think that they can bring a new product into the country, even with a respected name like Sunline and price it at a level way above the accepted market leader .................. well, good luck!!! ;D
Son Pham:
sunline pe lines are good. but i find that they can get very weak at the knots. It would take some effort into trying to find the best suited knots and testing them before going for the long haul.
Josh Stuckey:
Does anyone have any issues with sunline in the light classes, I have a little 200 size baitcaster which I filled with 300m of 10lb. I've had a number of mid cast break offs and lost a few lures, mainly plastics up to 1/2oz heads. The line comes back looking like its exploded, have lost faith in the line which is a shame as its my favorite outfit.
The break offs have been spread across the line, from just outside the rod tip to down close to the lures.
