Hi Guys,

Mick as requested here are some pics to show sizes etc... I don't have an accurate scale to give weights, and my Big Jim is "on loan" to a mate, but I'm sure you can get an idea of its size from the other images comparing to here.

Top to Bottom:
Bigfoot 190
Big Numbas
Bigfoot 140

Top to Bottom:
Fraser
Cono-Cono
T-Rex

Left to right:
Cono - Cono
T-Rex
Fraser

Lastly a length comparison with a Wahoo 125:

Hope this helps a bit....

Brandon - I agree that no lure is indestructable..... I don't think such a thing exists... ;D But they ceratinly feel tough as nails and very solid....

Orions are extremely resilient against bite marks but will shatter against a hard object. Of course, you're not supposed to cast them against something they would shatter on........

Not until I've thrown them all at a couple hundred fish Nate! ;)

And after that I'll be even less inclined!!!  ;D

Mick, you need a very strong popping rod for Big Jim and Conocono. That's why you need a Fire Vortex or SP78UHL.

actually, when you look at the build integrity of a Fisherman, I have to agree with that. Mick, forget the previous post - I think you should turn your mind to a Fisherman BG Jack

Brandon - Does that mean I'm going to give myself a hernia chucking these on my DJ83MH?  :o ;D

Oh well, nothing like a good excuse to look for another rod....  8) Its a little like putting the cart before the horse, buying the lures first, then the rod to use for it, but who ever said us tackle tarts were sane anyway....  :P

bloody hell, you want to use a 230g Big Jim with a DJ83MH?   :o
Not much is going to happen when you try to pop that lure. What you need is a BG Jack!!

Oh well.... I guess I'll be hunting for a new rod then Brandon....  ???
For the moment I'll just use the smaller Orions or pop really  s   l   o   w   l   y  ...... 8)

The DJ works wickedly with smaller poppers and pencils and stickbaits for me right now, and big GT country is still a couple months away for me...that'll give me some time to hunt own a rod worthy of the Big Jim!
