I had a fondle with the 'Synit Tournament Custom Casting Rod' which was part of the 1st prize [along with a Stella 10k and a Gamma 160] in the casting section of the Top Catch Jigging / Casting Comp in Tauranga a week ago, a beautiful weapon for sure.

Anesh - we would like to know if you have a commercial interest in this brand because this post reads and feel like an advertisement
If it swims; I want to catch it!

Great idea...especially for the traveling angler...one butt sections, 2 'tip' sections!

Have the rods been tested on GTs prior to release? Not pouring cold water on anyone"s work/brands but tuna and GT are different fish and fight quite differently as many members here would know. I'd love to know as I am in the market for a new rod later in the year and right now have my sights on the FCL 81EXT.

Sachin, I'm pretty sure that the guys at Kaiser Pro shop had a proto type in testing for/from Synit and i'm sure they would have given it a good test on GT's.

Perhaps Warwick. I guess we have been brought up on a diet of rod manufacturers publicising rod tests prior to and during the period sods are sold. Carpenter and Smith do a pretty good job of this but you can also see newer rods from Race Point and the El Toro range from Kaiser getting the same treatment. Gives the potential buyer confidence. Look forward to a report on the Synits.

Duncan took a Lalandi over to WA late 2011 to the Montebello Islands.
He leaves for Japan for the trade show tomorrow until the 7th but i'll try and get him to give his opinions on the rod before he leaves.

From loading it up in the shop and casting down at the jetty i can tell the Lalandi is one of the better stickbait rods i have picked up.

Cheers
Tom

Synit is currently finishing up the Lalandi for me...Final finishing and fitment of the blank to the butt section then it will be sent out. I went for the combo, both the GT and Lalandi Tip sections.

I will have the rod shortly and will be using it later this month on GT's, so if all falls in to place I should have some pic's and feed back. The Lalandi swims stick baits very well, the GT tip has the grunt... no doubt this will be a great combo.

I remember when Synit sent me a prototype Gulf Of Mexico Topshot, I was blown away by the build quality so  I expect the same if not better again...
