you should also have a lot of big reef fish chasing your poppers

This afternoon i am off to Abaiang.

Should arrive on the atoll around Tuesday Morning.

Visually stunning place but fishing was poor.

Did not sight one single GT - locals did however insist that 130lb+ GTs were around. Considering that we were there during a good fishing period, the conditions should have at least fired a single GT at us - small or big! Pop, jig or troll - no GTs. Only scored Red Bass, Coral Trout and Barracuda on popper - very disappointing.
