G`Day David

That`s one very solid New Cal GT. I have a friend who has fished with Etienne a few times and he speaks very highly of Etienne fishing skills. Me being the inquisitive person i am i would like to know if your going to let the cat out of the bag on this knot on the skipper`s report were it mentions skipper Etienne`s own knots. Or is it going to be a top secret knot.

Cheers Rob

Very solid fish indeed.

With the end of LPB, I guess there a few folks out there looking for New Cal charter options.

Hi Rob,

I honestly don't know Etienne's knot.  Last time I was over there we went bonefishing and the occassion didn't eventuate for us to sit down and go over it.
As you say he is very forthcoming with sharing info, so maybe others can enlighten us..

Cheers Dave

congrats David! your report and photos serves as an inspiration for me to concrete my decision to visit NC very soon! 63kgs is definitely an arm-breaker and my respects to you for landing this giant (literally) trevally skilfully. i guess it is only in the perfect conditions with the perfect lure (which is extremely difficult to come by), i'm pretty sure this monster will remain in your memories for a long time to come..

on a separate note, any chance for Etienne to elaborate on the knots used?

Cheers

Hi Robin,

I wish I could claim this but I am simply sharing this report.
Hope you can replicate a similar fish yourself when you get over there.

Cheers Dave
