Portland (Vic) tuna casting 20.04.2012
April 22, 2012, 04:18:19 AM
Although the fish were all school sized 13-17kg models we had a great session on on surface lures and jigs for about 2hrs where we released 30 fish. About 10 fish were also caught on the troll on skirts and xraps.

some great footage there - one of those hot bites that has you reaching for the silly string.

hitting bermagui in a weeks time - hopefully those bad boys are in numbers early this season!

well done guys.

Dan
They are here now a couple got weighed yesterday.
They are not thick yet like 2011 but early we usually get them in the last week of june till the begining of july.
Yfin have been up but hard to catch as they are moving fast chasing sauries you will spot them and move over there to spot them 500m away.
A 150kg broadbill was caught yesterday

back to portland pity the barrels hav'nt turned up yet
