Ripple Fisher Fanta Stick GT79 Reversal X Carpenter MH80H

<< < (2/3) > >>

Richard Ghalayini:
All this rod torque I'm gunna need a marriage counsellor  :o

Scott Maybury:
I have both rods, have had the RF 79R for a few years but the MH80H is only new, haven't used it yet

I feel the 79R maxes out on poppers at 150-160gm, it is hard to work poppers heavier than 160. Ideal weight for this rod for poppers for me is 120-150. It is a very nice rod

In about 6 weeks I can tell you how they compare as that will be my first trip with the Monster Hunter :D

Ross Smith:
Does either Ripple Fisher or Carpenter use K guides on any of their rods ?

Cheers Ross.

Mark Harris:
On GT rods, I do not think so Ross.  But you will find them on lighter rods from Yamaga/Ripple Fisher and maybe on some light Carpenters (not sure about the latter though).

Ross Smith:
Thankyou for that Mark, l would think Ripple Fisher and Carpenter would use the best guides
and as l'm having a new rod built PE 6-8.
l think l will stick with the tried and true SG's, reversing the first 2 and keep the K's for something lighter.

The K's do look good though.
 Cheers Ross.
