Thank you very much for the help gents. Information on the Dark Continent is not always easy to come by. Thank goodness for forums such as these that put people like me in contact with people who have the knowledge and are willing to share. It does make ones learning curve that much steeper.

On the SOM 6000 spools BTW, they do not seem very widespread but I found one not long ago offered for US$ 310.  That seemed way too much to me. I think I paid about that for my 16000!
