Mate your on the right track.

1. Make a list of everything you need.
2. Look online and see how much you can get it for.
3. See if your local can match / beat the price and if so, just lay-by it.
4. If 3 doesnt work out, buy it individually for the better price though remember to include postage in your calculations.

You will be fishing in no time.
