How tight do you twist your twists on your twisty leaders?

Thankyou for that Ben, you make splicing sound very interesting.
Its something else to try and from your description it will cast better than the twisty.
I have heard splices work well but take time to make as you say,
Maybe have a second splice made and connected ready to go on a spare spool for when the action is on,
simply change spools and back into it.

Hi Ross,

Thats exactly what I do. The original spool is pre-tied (spare) and the SOM is the primary.
I also have pre-tied leaders ready to change out at the end of the day, that way i have minimal "Miller Time" wastage as well.
