SUDAN Reef
June 26, 2012, 05:56:06 PM
Hello all, and sorry for my English, i am just coming back from a special trip in the red sea area in Sudan, one of the new interesting destination for GT fishing, spinning from shore, and fly i never saw in my life, and thrust me i saw many!

The trip is easy, and not so far from Europe, and fishing pressure is really nothing, it could be called a real Virgin place.

Dog tooth tuna on jigging are pests i never saw this concentration, but we didn't catch yet bigger than 20 kg, but there are for sure!  :-X

Gt are so aggressive, they never heard a popper before, thay attaked 100 times lures, this one in the photo attacked with fins.

You can see groups og small gts behind your lures.  ;)

Two fish on the same popper is not so difficult here in Sudasn reef

Regards Vincenzo

Is a War zone in Darfour far 1000 km from the red sea area, thrust me that is very safe for fishing.

Yeah that is true pioneering alright... I love that first pic, it is one of the most abstract fishing photos ever!   8)

Were there lots of small fish or did you tangle with some big ones?  Keen to see more pics!

Vicenzo - as Ed said, you are the man!
I think you must be the boldest and most adventurous angler we have on the forum. I juts hope you don't get eaten one day in one of those crazy locations you go to!  ;D
If it swims; I want to catch it!

Awesome Vicenzo! Love that first pic, first thing I thought of was poseidon and greek mythology. Your client is the man 76 and still hammering GT's! Proves fisherman never get old........But Sudan, holy cow! what comes to mind is warzone also. Yet another place I would have never thought of fishing.
